Running HCE v 1.9.1 Deep

I still have no AppNap option under Get_Info for HCE. Has the option been moved?

I finally renewed my book subscription and was surprised to find that the GM++ book was last updated on 26/07/2015. Am I wrong to think that it should be updated more regularly than what appears to be mid 2015?

I agree. A great piece of software although I hope v2 lets me put a selection of games into a temporary book as I find that very useful in my old version of ChessBase 11.

I don't think is possible, perhaps in version 2 of HCE when released

Got you, I guess it shouldn't be making the same mistake each time, wonder why that is.

You're playing the machine at 1550 with a 2 second move time, surely it will make mistakes at that level otherwise you'd never beat it.

You have to use Finder, Fork Lift e.g. doesn't show this setting.

Currently the only way I know to do this is via a 'Find & Replace' within a text editor.

ChessBase is big, complicated and frustrating, but can handle anything. Anything.

Not quite, it can't handle Mac OS as CB requires Windows. It can run on a Mac under Windows but that requires the user to buy a copy of that OS.

Similar to Zapflod's question, what are the main features of Chessbase that HCE is missing? The main differences will be different for players according to their needs. I use HCE but ChessBase is no different than say MS Word or Excel, hundreds of features that not all users will use or ever need, but some of those users will use ...
