Re: CTG book Play% wrong

The H CTG book encoding are a unique formulation worked on by Mathias many years ago, the internals are private CB information. This was required so specific play% could be provided. The play% require the book to be in tournament mode in CB software for it to have correct effect. NNUE is in develop...

Re: CTG book Play% wrong

I have about the same questions to the abo- versions of Hiarcs.ctg- book. Having both, the online- and the .ctg- format, I see the percentages of .ctg given in cb- GUI and in HCE are not quite the same (even if approximately corresponding), and my main question was about book- learning: I don't see ...

Re: Position learning

I assume you're referring to this? Learning file.PNG Thanks for the sreenshot, something like this I was looking for at the directory given by you too, but there isn't any file like this created by my H15.1- installation in Fritz- GUI by letting the engine ponder in analysis- mode for a while with ...

Re: Position learning

Many thanks for the update of HCE and engine. Is the lerning- file still named hiarcs.lrn as it was with H14? Where can I find it as for directory it's stored at? With H15 it didn't work, as Mark already confirmed per mail way back then when H15 came out. Don't see it work so far till now as for 15...

Re: Position learning

I think it is here: \Documents\HIARCS Chess\EngineData Was one of my first places to look at too, yet whether it's not called hiarcs.lrn anymore or it isn't created there. Something in this directory, that I don't know, is called HelperChache.bin, but it's 2Mb, so too big for a learning- file as I ...

Re: Endgame database question

Sorry for hitchhiking your thread, but didn't want to open a new one with a question yet fitting the title in a way too. Syzygy- tbs- usage cannot be turned off successfully in H15.1 (as well as in H15), at least there are still hits in output to be seen with UCI option Syzygy Tablebases unchecked r...

Re: Come and get it! HCE Pro is finally here!

Happy New Year and congrats to the release! Can't find any equivalent to the old .lrn- file storing position learning, at the place it was at documents-Hiarcs Chess-engine data no new one's created. In my first tries I didn't see any learning- effect neither. Second question: seeing the bigness of t...

H12 was in March and 12.1 in December 2008, wasn't it?
Time for a major update, isn't it?

But now, that we know not only that 12.x does exist but also how well it works the question for an update for the honest and true H12 customers arises again

Best regards

Peter.
