If the screen saver is active, Hiarcs is hidden. So does Hiarcs get App Napped even when the screen saver is off? Anyway, I'd love it if Hiarcs would disable app nap, and disallow the computer from going to sleep during analysis. (I've forgotten more than once to change my computers energy savings s...

Well, I'd argue it's still kind of a bug. Anyway, applications can prevent the computer from going to sleep or being put in App Nap state. Mark, IIRC there's a video from last year on how to deal with these kind of issues (WWDC 2013 Session Videos: Improving Power Efficiency with App Nap). I think i...

Ok, I think I found a way to reproduce what happened, turns out it wasn't related to restarting HCE: To change engine settings: Go into Preferences > Engines tab and click Configure… with an engine selected. Change eg. the book settings and click Ok. Then click Ok again to exit the preferences dialo...

Engine options revert to defaults
Hi!
I'm on HCE 1.6 on OS X Mavericks. When I try to change the book mode (of Hiarcs) from Tournament to Wild, and playing style to aggressive the options revert back to the default values.
Regards,
Christoffer

Minor bug when changing no of lines in analysis
The analysis halts when changing the number of lines and does not resume until analysis is turned off and on again. This is on Mac OS X 10.8.4 and HCE 1.5b.

Re: Small feature request: Remember starting position
Why not save the position or game so far to an "in work" database or copy position to clipboard? Generally, if analysing from a particular opening move it is useful to save analysis and comments with the game to a database. So after you have selected new game you can just click on the gam...

Small feature request: Remember starting position
It would be nice if HCE would remember the selected starting position (eg. current position or a specific opening) when starting a new game against the computer. Since the list of starting position is so long it's somewhat cumbersome to choose the same position over and over if you want to try out s...
