My guess is that there is a good reason that Mark has not continued working on a 64-bit version. I don't need a new version, I want to replace my old version that I can no longer locate. Well if you have not as yet received a reply from Hiarcs about the link then I would say something stinks. I per...

What I did find out was deleting the "isready" command from the Initialization commands allowed the engine to load/analyze ("uci" is the only Init. Command). O.K., I just tried re-entering Hiarcs 12 into the Babaschess GUI and removed "isready" from the engine configur...

Here is a screenshot of the Babaschess engine configuration window if it may give any an indication of a solution. I did try clicking the "Apply delay before starting to analyze" check box but it didn't help.

I have a legally purchased and licensed copy of Hiarcs 12 and I couldn't get it to analyze in Babaschess either. I tried Hiarc 12, Rybka 1.2f and Bright 0.4a and the only one to produce a read out in the analysis window of Babaschess was Rybka 1.2f. I finally used the Inbetween utility to produce a ...

Do you use it at its default settings or do you make adjustments to its parameters?

If you make adjustments to its parameters - mind sharing them?

A screenshot of the Amazon history page but with my personal information removed. Screenshot Economically, language courses and chess books were my downfall (I won't mention chess engines). Now a days I don't buy either (books or courses), at least not until I finish what I already have. Wish you th...

Hello stepnkev,

I checked my Amazon purchase history and you were the one that sold me - Winning Chess: How to See Three Moves Ahead (Fireside Books) - back in June of 2007. A practically brand new book it was and is.

Hope nobody objects - A link to your Amazon listing.

I haven't purchased the latest incarnation of the engine you mentioned. Thought about it though. I don't like some of the things I am reading about its memory usage and such (I am not technically inclined when it comes to computers so I don't know if what I am reading is something to really be conce...

Previous Versions?

This may have been mentioned before, if so, I missed seeing it. Ever considered having a place for the previous versions of Hiarcs UCI to be purchased on the Hiarcs website? I know the Shredder site has a place for previous versions to be purchased, true the GUI is being sold too, but... The old ver...

In regards to Rybka it doesn't matter what I think. I haven't a Rybka engine but I was looking forward to purchasing Rybka 3. Now I don't know if I will though. I've been rybkatized. Yesterday I ordered 2.3.2a - single processor on a disc at a slight discount from wholesalechess.com. While others w...

If -only IF- I purchase the thing, it will be the convetka stuff due to Aquarium GUI. I cannot bear the idea of just another engine running in just CB gui. I want novelties. Certainly I will not purchase the bare engine in Rybka site. No more bare engines for me, ever. In fact probably I will prefe...
