But the ICGA does have jurisdiction over its WCCC events Actually.. i think the burning issue is what will be done regarding past WCCC titles Rybka competed in and won?? its one thing to decide ..NOW.. 5 years after the fact.. that Rybka could have violated the GPL and might indeed be a derivative ...

Your information is sorely lacking. Mark has published clear proof that rybka 1.6.1 has huge chunks of Crafty code. And I am talking evaluation code, not some parsing code. A function EvaluateWinner() was copied 100% unchanged. He copied other pieces of code. Some of which even had bugs. He copied ...

BTW, this is just the tip of the iceberg it seems. It appears that copying was done on the old versions of Rybka, prior to the "fruity version". The code was just not based on Fruit at that time. More as evidence is formatted. This appears to be taking a turn for the worse, rather than fo...

Re: How to implement allPieces bitboard?

Hi : I understand the main idea beside the bitboards, but don't know how to implement it.. I'm working in C and by example I have: uint64_t allPieces, whitePawns, blackPawns, etc.. how to fill the bitboard allPieces with the initial position? tks You just set the bits in white_pawns that represent t...

When i saw this match of a computer with an 8 bit processor beat a computer of a 16 bit processor was in a 6 game match, the 8 bit computer won 4 and the other 2 were drawn. I don't think this is a random luck. Best Ricardo Possibly not. If program A is far better than program B, then A should win ...

Hi Harvey, never mind we just need someone with both raid and flash... Re: Different player

Hi, is it possible to play as different "player" ? I try to explain what I mean: If I play with different levels all the results have an influence in my elo-rating. If it would be possible to choose: "Player xy normal" or "player za agressive" or "player ab defend...

Re: Hiarcs TB test - HD v Flash

You might find this post interesting TB tests - HD v Flash including Hiarcs Shaun It isn't so interesting since it is really biased toward the flash drive. 7200 rpm drive (non-SCSI) are not known for high-performance. I run 15K U320 SCSI drives in a raid-0 (striping) mode and I have not found a fla...
