Re: Tasc tutor & Chessica cd 2

The program runs, but I cant make the pieces move. I'll keep trying. Hi, there's an option 'Anticipate' in Chessica which makes the program almost unusable - it's usually called 'Permanent Brain' or 'Ponder', but when this option is activated, the program is responding VERY slowly to any mouse clic...

Re: Tasc tutor & Chessica cd 2

Hi, I don't have the CD, nevertheless I run Chessica 1.1 for Windows, using Win3.11 with DosBox. Here you can download a package. If you already have DosBox and Win3.11 configured on your PC, you can just get and install accordingly the chessica sub-directory. Tasc Tutor is not included in the abov...

Tasc tutor & Chessica cd 2

Does anyone have and could make available this cd? I found on internet archive but could not make it work.

Does it run on DOS or windows only?

Looks like to be abandonware soft since Tasc is long gone.

Any info about the subject will be highly appreciated.

Playing very old stuff regards

Hi, A "hard" reset is obtained by switching the computer off and on again without pressing the MEMORY key before you switch it off (see section 7.7). In that case, all the cunent information will be lost and the computer will be reset to its default value. ref : P46 english manual Cordial...

Milan reset

Hi,

My Milano does not turn on anymore.

I couldn't find a reset hole and the manual says nothing.

Is there a way to reset it?

Thanks in advance

Well , what I recall is that Ron was Excalibur engineer, but the Mirage was designed (the mechanical system) by the contracted company (Chinese?). Remember that john is an electronic engineer, he designed the body of the game to fit the electronics parts, but mechanical design is another thing.

I miss him too, although I never have interacted direct with him, but I often use the search feature of the forum where I can find many long but interesting posts from him.

Maybe if he read this thread he comes back.

Hi, I Just replaced the magnets of a Team Mate pieces. I removed the old magnets with a small scissor and used neodymium magnets. I glued a felt in the base and it is perfect. I can put the game upside down and the pieces stay firmly in the position. The strong neodymium do not affect the electronic...

Hi Paul, You have to be sure about which Master Chess is being discussed. Reinfeld posted about Radio Shack computers and not Saitek. Therefore part of these posts is discussing and comparing a wrong Master Chess. The discussion is around RS2250XL, RS2200 and RS Master Chess (totally different comp...
