This was a hard decision. Most engines seem to slightly favor Qd2. But as others have commented, I also do not find consistent lines.
Possibly it depends on the time of day.

I was really expecting 44...Kf8.
Are we playing against R4.

in lnes i looked at if you play Bg5 you will be forced to swap one of our bishops for a knight making game a dead draw. NAT12.........Could you post some of your lines? The comments indicate that it may be better than 1.7.1, but, it may also have bugs. So who knows.

this is an occastion where you cannot go simply down the line assuming x is best move.you must have a computer running from root. atm i have 46 Bh3 giving 0.77 but i know it fails from big overnight AN.maybe Erdo will not find it.i just dont know and this is why i voted for 44.Rd8 :) These position...

hms123 .......I'll also add my thank you for your analysis .....and I'll follow WinKing with my vote:

At the end of the day, Bg5 is showing that it's slightly better than Rd8.
