Re: Millennium king Performance pgn?
After I've played a game against mine, I use Millennium's PGN_Tool (downloaded from their website). And not surprisingly, I then copy and paste it from that tool into HCE.

Re: Millenium new release of chess computer
It's interesting that the Android ChessGenius app (I don't know about the iPhone version) doesn't have multiple playing styles like this Millennium computer has. It seems like that capability would have to built in to the engine rather than a layer that Millennium would add, but perhaps that's not n...

Re: Spacious Mind rating test reloaded
That's very consistent with my casual experience with Easy 0 on the King Performance. I play some games where it doesn't make any obvious (to me) mistakes and gradually grinds me down, and I feel like it's fairly strong. Other times it makes a silly mistake and I can gradually grind it down, and I f...

Re: Spacious Mind rating test reloaded
Very interesting! So the test suggests around 1400 for Easy 0? The machine itself says it's around 1000, which never seemed right to me - it's more of a challenge than that!

Re: Version 1.3
On the digital signature issue, thanks, Mark! I assume it's just a Norton issue, so I told Norton to allow it to run! :>)

Re: Version 1.3
I don't doubt that, but software developers should go along with the security procedures users are accustomed to expect. This is the first time I've seen this happen, so I don't doubt that the HIARCS developers ordinarily do the digital signature thing.

Re: Version 1.3
Norton says there's no valid digital signature on HCE 1.3.1. Is this a problem?

Re: HCE Pro - Single Core?
I suspect that Stockfish would still be able to use multiple cores with HCE Pro single core, and that the single core version just includes the single core version of the HIARCS engine, at a lower price. But we'll see what more knowledgeable people have to say.

Re: Printer Novag on Fidely Computers
I don't have that printer, but I don't understand your question. If you're playing black (and assuming you're referring to the move common in the opening), wouldn't Nc6 be correct, since the column and rank labels are reversed when you play black? Perhaps I'm misunderstanding.

Millennium King Performance opening book question
When the KP is in its book, using the Master book, the upper right corner of the display will show 57/58. When it's in the Aegon94 book, it shows 62/63. Once the computer is out of book, these numbers show the full width and selective search depths. Given that meaning, does that suggest that the Mas...

Re: DGT Centaur & Stockfish
That's my understanding as well. So since SF 8 is included in the product for any purpose, I wonder why DGT doesn't need to acknowledge it?

DGT Centaur & Stockfish
I recently obtained a Centaur and am enjoying it. I wonder why in the acknowledgments of open source software in the user's guide, it doesn't acknowledge the Stockfish engine, only Python and Python Chess? I thought the Chessbase case established that the use of Stockfish in a product needs to be ac...

Tibono2, thanks for that explanation. I'll look into it further. Your explanation is very helpful.

Confusing game analysis results
In the following game, I don't understand some of the analysis results from HIARCS 15.1. Embedded in the game below is the analysis for an average of 1 second per move analysis. After black's move 51, doesn't the analysis say white has a 3.22 advantage, but if black had played Kc5, white would only ...

Re: "Message from online server" hassles me
I really can't see how it's all that inconvenient. All you have to do is click a single window every couple of weeks or whatever.
