HIARCS Chess Forums

Any plans to release Hiarcs for the iPhone/iTouch? I'm not sure if it is better processor wise as the Palm, but I would assume so given the new technology.

It's possible this was introduced in the code port, perhaps a missing minus sign?

Thanks for the move list. I guess I don't have good mate solvers (including palm hiarcs in brute force mode). I had to enter moves all the way to the last promotion until it could find a mate. Same with my free copy of Fritz. I didn't see the knight sacrifice for the second move. After that its easy.

I was playing around with the old Hiarcs 0.5 program (sparing it against the current version of palm Hiarcs) and was surprised that when the palm hiarcs, as black, promoted a pawn to a queen Hiarcs 0.5 converted the pawn to a white queen instead of a black one.
