Analyzing positions with Hiarcs

What is the difference between setting Hiarcs up to analyze with the ‘Deep Position Analysis’ or with ‘Infinite Analysis’?

I have been using Infinite Analysis mostly when going over games or in Engine-Engine matches online. Is this the same as Deep Position Analysis or is one better than the other?

Thanks for the quick reply. I only have 1 partition (C:) and haven't over clocked or anything (I think this is what you mean by oc :-). Other than that would it still work if I just copy and paste everything in the C:/Tablebases/TB# directories? It's letting me copy everything so far. Not sure how t...

Installing Endgame Turbo 3

Just received Endgame Turbo 3 and tried installing it following the instructions it came with. When I install it, all that it does is create a directory C:\Tablebases and installs nothing in it. How do I install them? Do I just copy and paste from the DVD which is what I started doing? Does anyone h...

I'll go for 3. ... d6. After the moves 4. d4 e6 5. Bg2 Be7 6. O-O O-O Blacks position seems solid. I think it's a matter of taste though.

I admit about being a little nervous playing f5 after Nf3 but if that's what everyone wants then I'm with you. I still like d5 since after 2. d4 Nf6 Black doesn't have anything to fear from the Torre, Tromp, Colle, etc lines and if White plays c4, Black can either go for the QGA, a very good opening...

I may be on my own here, but I vote for 1. Nf3 d5. I've always been a classical player.

Hi

Hi Harvey, I would like to be a part of the Hiarcs team if you will have me. I have a 2003 USCF postal chess rating. If you would have me on your team against the Fish, where do we post the move we would like to make?

Hiarcs 12

After doing plenty of research among different Chess programs to include Fritz 11, Shredder 11, Hiarcs 12, and the new and improved Rybka 3 soon to be released. I decided to buy Hiarcs. I just want to say I absolutely love this program. The moves the program makes and in its infinite analysis just m...

Hiarcs 12

Hi all, I have Deep Junior 10.1 and I'm in the market for a new chess program. I have read alot on the new Hiarcs 12 and leaning on buying a copy. With the many different chess programs available, I want to make sure I get the right program for what I'll use it for. Analysis is a big thing for me. I...
