HGM is working on winboard/xboard. Doubt any other GUIs support this yet, since there is no standard yet. Since Shredder uses "Threads" itself, it is likely that if Stefan does decide to update the standard, that is what will be used. I believe he has been contacted, but I have not yet he...

polyglot 1.4w15

New polyglot version. Polyglot does not use I/O polling anymore. Timelosses/Lag with very small timecontrols has been substantial reduced To give an idea: using older polyglot versions running hiarcs 11.1 versus itself 100 games/90 moves in 4 seconds, I got about 28 games with a time loss. This has ...

Re: Rybka Forum

There is a problem at the moment the forum admins are aware of it and hopefully it will be back soon. The cause may be a virus that is a strain of hemorrhagic septicemia. It only affects little fish and is no risk to humans. PeterG Carefull Peter, I wouldn't risk anything from a pool with a couple ...

Winboard Cores command

There is a discussion in the winboard forum on how "cores" should be handled for uci engines.
Maybe Mark has some ideas/opinion on this matter?

Re: Hiarcs in OpenWar

It would be nice to see Hiarcs entered into the OpenWar. I'd suggest doing something interesting like entering it with a gambit only book and set to aggressive style. Looks interesting - we will have a think about it. What do you have to think about,Harvey :?: Just enter the darn thing  Best F...

polyglot 1.4w7

This version of polyglot does not need the cygwin1.dll anymore Some extras: Affinity and draw/resign: Resigning added. The engine can now resign. (note: this will not bring many elo points ) 1.To activate draw offers or resigning, the engine has to define the "UCI_DrawOffers" parameter with...
