New chess base data format?
Just got an email announcing a new greatly changed chess base 17, with a new data structure. Any news on whether hiarcs will be able to access the new data, assuming some or all of new cb products use the new data structure,

Computer engine aided correspondence chess servers
I noticed a number of posters use hce and it’s books for correspondence chess. Any suggestions on web servers that permit the use of engines (and not just opening info) I’m aware of iccf but worried I might be out matched, being that I’m class A otb.

Would on on/off switch for annotation searches be feasible. Or, would it be practical to search for game fragments in annotations at least. Turning to another subject, i decided to test the position search on annotations, and first opened up an annotated game at random. when I selected a position fr...

Re: Books and tress.... I need some guidance
This may be a stupid question, but what do folks use books and trees for. I use them to find alternative moves for correspondence chess, and sometimes use trees linked to databases as an easy way to search for games. I also understand that books can focus the programs choice of opening moves when yo...

For example, the ultra corr database 2022, has a new version with 2100 new games, with a total of 2 mill plus games. Do import or export eliminate doubles automatically; copying and past...

Re: Finding Duplicates
In the process of identifying and removing duplicates, is there any non manual way to insure that annotated games are preserved and those with bare game scores deleted?
How do I get access to the manual directly from the program btw?
