New electrionic board from iChessOne
Hello,
A new electronic chessboard is being created, distinguished from others on the market by the fact that it is foldable

I'm sure this was on a start up website last year and didn't attract enough people to go into production?

As far as I know, the first campaign failed, but they did not abandon the project, further developing it.

Re: New electrionic board from iChessOne
If one of these new eboard manufacturers wants to stand out versus the competition, why not released the wireless/battery board with connectivity options, ALONG with built in engines?
My concern is now long the smart phone apps will be supported. After the initial batch of board sales, if the company does not continue to produce further models, what will be the incentive the keep the application updated over time (outside of a monthly fee)?
I've been tempted to purchase a Chessnut Air (which at least is receiving 3rd party app support), but not quite yet convinced.
I did purchase the Millennium eOne, as it does appear Millennium is going to be around for awhile and they keep releasing new products.

A Q&A video about the new chessboard has appeared on the manufacturer's youtube channel, showing, among other things, its construction, how it works and a sample game:

Hello!
I would like to kindly inform you that the developers have launched a campaign on kickstarter. They set a goal of collecting orders for 20 chessboards, and achieved it in less than 4 hours. An interesting option is to offer two sets of pieces (American Staunton and Timeless), something I personally miss from the competitions:

Hello,
having successfully funded the project and raised for more than 50 chessboards, the developers of iChess One have just declared that their electronic chessboard will have a built-in battery, which in addition will be replaceable.
The battery will be in all chessboards included in the current Kickstarter campaign.
Kind regards,
larryadler
