My first computer was Scisys Chess Champion Mark V.

Once I become Fidelities fan, started to buy every computer they produced.
I was so fascinated, I even went to Miami to visit the company.
The Excel 6800 Mach III and 2265 rated Elite Avant Garde were my last Fidelity purchases.

Seitek Renaissance with Sparc and Mephisto Senator were my final buys for a long time.

Last year I got myself the DGT Centaur and am quite happy with it. It found its way in to my regular rotation of
Saitek RISC 2500, Novag Sapphire II, Senator and Renaissance.

I am not a collector. Just an addict  .
I gave away, sold or basically trashed most of my purchases at some point.

All the best

I loved playing with chess computers until first a bad experience with the Kasparov Risc that failed 3 times within a year and the Mephisto Berlin Pro where the chip heated so much I bought a small fan from Costco to keep it cool but the transformers supplied from ICD chess kept overloading. After that I lost all interest in dedicated chess computers until Millennium revived Mephisto with the Phoenix. I really enjoy the Phoenix and the emulations of the Kasparov RISC and Mephisto Berlin Pro just bring back happy memories when I played with them.

Al I am pulling for you and hoping for the best!!!!!
