Assuming it had the original box, manual and pieces id go as high as $750

They sold for $900 brand new back in 1991 when released for sale

Good Luck With The V2 auction Regards

Hi Hougenie, no I’m not suspecting the box is empty…the seller has good feedback. I just think that others might suspect an empty box, or the box being occupied by a different chess computer. There is also the issue of time related
problems, eg, dried out solder joints. For any here considering bidding, you might like to be aware that Fidelity
used reed switches under the squares that were prone to breaking down and needed replacing. No warranty
applies on the machine in spite of it being “new”. This is why the game being opened and on display with the
unit functioning is in the seller's interest, imo.

$1299. Actually the buyer did ok when we factor in the original new price
of 1000 Euros (1073 US$) and 34 years of inflation. Was it anyone here?

I’m the initial $250 bidder on the EAS. How can you tell if it’s a Budapest or Glasgow?

Hi Murat
actually if i had to guess..
im thinking he came across some inventory from Excalibur which we know was a company that was owned by the same Samole family as Fidelity
who knows..this guy could be a Samole family member..selling mint in box stuff they still had on hand
something is going on here....you just dont see one seller putting up mint stuff like this every other Tuesday

Speculating Regards

Not me

I had the impression that the pieces shown with it were Mephisto, so that could not work with the A/S.

I could be wrong.

Another mint in box V2 from the same seller:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/134501313927?h ... R_CWgqXhYQ

i can tell you from experience... this seller is a pleasure to deal with
ships the day he receives payment...great communication if you have any issues
perfect packaging ...etc..etc...

At least we now know where he found this treasure trove of mint Fidelity Chess computers....

"From the estate of a former Fidelity salesman"Regards
