Siberian rating

Post by Fernando »

Do some of you know the rating of this old DOS program, Siberian"?
Eugene Nalimov, the father, did it many years ago, and not being a monster or beautiful, plays a strong game.
I believe Nalimov works or worked in Microsoft after abandoning that pearl of peace and technical development that is Russia.

A very interesting challenge that led me to:
- getting to know your bibliography,
- sending a signal to my country's secret service that I spend too much time on Russian-language web pages.

It is tempting to play a few games with this program with other, reference ones, to at least estimate. I will try to make such an attempt.

kind regards,

I guess in a current computer is about 2200 Elo. It should be because it defeated me, but only after a hard struggle of 70 moves or so. I had some advantages but I was inaccurate in the ending and so I lost.
I enjoyed it a lot...
and BTW...

Так ты умеешь читать по-русски? Странный. Если вы американец, они едва знают английский.

Masochistic regards
