It has become strangely quiet around Certabo/ Tabutronic

Post by ArnWinter »

Hi,
while various manufacturers have been releasing new eboards and apps or announcing new devices on a weekly basis over the past few months, Certabo has become strangely quiet. This is so sad as I really love the Certabo board. How nice it would be if Certabo/ Tabutronic had an Android app with the same range of functions as Chessnut, for example (offline, lichess, chess.com)?!

Dear Certabo, team, please communicate innovations and plans on your website, if they exist.

Does anyone here in the forum know anything about further developments?

Best regards,
Arne

Hi,

Certabo is developing an Android app. I think it will be available late this summer.
However, I don't know anything about the range of functions.

Hi Lars,
That sounds cool. It is a pity that none of this is communicated on the website or through Pietro. Hopefully the app will be able to compete with Chessnut in terms of functionality. So far, Certabo and Tabutronic have "only" released new boards, while other manufacturers continue to develop software.

Hi Arne,

You are correct, this information is not highlighted on the website, but I read this information on the
public Certabo forum.

Hi,
Does anyone know if the app is still in development and if it will be released at some point? And especially when?

I'm looking forward to any kind of feedback.

Kind regards,
Arne
