Thank you Aart for this great video.

At this rate, you will soon have serious problems storing so many electronic chessboards at home. :-D

Best,
Gerardo

Thanks all!

I have also received the API for the Chessnut EVO and am exploring this by showing the Dutch flag through its LEDs...

Oh, I have many features on my TODO list, but those two are not very likely. I support the open nature of FICS and ICC.

In the meanwhile, a new board for my collection, the ChessUp board.

Hi Aart

I was told by the ChessUp devs that there is going to be a significant increase in strength for the build in engine
by the 4th quarter of this year.

I am going to end up buying it but they are having hardware glitches and their app is not yet mature.
So I will wait a bit longer.

I am still hoping for DGT Centaur 2.0 one day with connected and up-gradable module.

All the best

Murat

Starting with v6.8, Chess for Android now also supports the Chessup electronic chessboard. Note that the protocol in this board differs from the typical protocol in the sense that most work is already done on the board itself (display moves, check valid moves, etc.). So, this was actually a bit more work than for the other boards, funny as it may sound, since I had to work around the typical "phone drives it all" behavior. But it is working now, with some minor things still to be improved.
