A Chess and US Salute

Post by Fernando »

A salute to my American friends on this day of celebration of the independence day of what was once a great nation but now is one merged with big problems. You are not the only one caught in the tsunami of imbecility, idiotic causes, conflict, threats of war, etc.

From another country in crisis regards

Great chess players, the Americans, with great chess computers..eg..Fidelity.
Now that we are on topic, I'd like to second Fernando's observation that weirdness
in Governance is not just an American thing. Looking around the world, we see
the Brits paying the price for severing ties with Europe, their only lifeline. The French
are going bananas because their pension age was adjusted upwards.
Down here in my homeland we seem intent on bowing down to a bunch of PARTLY
indigenous people and inviting hundreds of thousands of new arrivals into a country
that can't house the people already here. It just defies all logic.
What do others think?

We are in the beginnings of a world revolution in many things. In fact, I am writing a book about that. If just US was capable of stopping the Chinese...I do not like those guys at all...They are alien to us in every sense.

People behave in many ways completely stupid. E.g. in so many countries right wing nationalists are growing in numbers.
As if second ww has never happened.
What seems like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow.
Here we have a fairy tale of the day after tomorrow....

I feel you, things can get pretty messy and it's not just you facing all those crazy problems. It's like a massive wave of dumbness, ridiculous causes, conflicts, and even threats of war sweeping across the globe. Hang in there, my friend, and know that we're all in this crazy ride together. Sending positive vibes your way from a fellow country dealing with its own set of challenges.

Seems harsh, I suggest that instead you challenge Xi Jinping to a game of chess
