According Bing Chat (Chat-GPT4), there is no perfect way to set the correct eco code in a chess game, because of the many possible transpositions in a game.
There are 3 ways to set the eco code.
1. Based on the name of the opening after the first tranposition.
2. Base on the name of the opening after the last transposition.
3. Base on the number of moves in certain opening.
The third method would be the most correct way to assign an openings name according to Bing Chat.
