Give me the Master Chess anytime over the Obsidian. The master
has a better display, with easy configurable options and of course
outrates the Obsidian by about 100elo. The Master is one of Mephisto's
'laptop' designs and is simply a better built product.
About the only advantage the Obsidian has is that it comes with
a carry bag.

Master chess also comes with a small and thin black leather carry bag; at least the model i bought came with it; Novag obsidian comes with wood pieces and master chess has them in plastic.
