Just to add to the credits above:Mark Uniacke wrote:Fantastic news!
Many congratulations and thanks must go to Sebastian who not only operated HIARCS at Paderborn but also prepared (with Harvey) an outstanding opening book for HIARCS to use.
Unfortunately, this is may be too late for the new years honours list but if anyone knows the PM or Queen put a good word in for Sebi!
Incredible performance, many many thanks Sebi, Harvey and Team HIARCS.
With such a superb team 2008 offers a lot of promise...
Thanks to Mark for a superb engine. Thanks to Eric and Mark for the general book which sat under the small book Sebi and I created. Thanks also to Andre, Christian and Enrico for their testing and help.
A nice way to finish 2007 for Hiarcs and a great start to 2008.
Happy New Year to all,
Harvey

Over the years many have contributed, the list is very long since I have been writing HIARCS since the last ice age , but special mention should go to Eric, Enrico and Harvey who have pushed me and HIARCS on even through dark days to reach new levels.
In 2007 we have pushed on and our extended team has great skills and experience in many areas which bodes well for the future.
We look forward to 2008.
Happy New Year to all.

Congratulations from Jeroen:
He then said to people on the Rybka Forum:In the end we ended on 5.5 points, just like Hiarcs. Hiarcs won because of the better Bochholz score, something we already knew before the last round was started: a simple calculation showed that a Hiarcs victory was enough to clinch victory. Of course I'd like to congratulate the Hiarcs team for this splendid achievement! Mark, Harvey, Sebastian, well done!
I hope you liked our live coverage and of course don't be too depressed because of '2nd spot only'

Congratulations!
At the risk of saying something naive, I have always felt that Hiarcs is the engine with the most potential for constant improvement because it is knowledge-based, and, well, we never stop learning. (I know that there are more issues involved, but I'm sure it's a factor.)
I am now even more eager for the release of Hiarcs 12.
