Hi,
A general rule was established in the days of dedicated machines where a halving of processor speed (or halving of time) was worth around 60 elo points.
In your case, converting from tournament time to around 5 seconds per move would equate to dividing by 2 five times. Therefore, the machine would play in the low 1700s at that time setting.
In my own testing of dedicated machines in this manner, I have found the 60 elo rule seems to work quite well and this includes testing of Mephisto programs. I am not so sure the rule would apply so well for machines with hash tables, however the Roma did not have these.
