Can't say I've ever heard of this brand...how about you guys?
Is it some sort of clone? I doubt you will find info on it at
schachcomputer.info or anywhere else for that matter.
Please let us know if you are familiar with it.
eg what's it's strength... elo 2000?

I have seen this thing come up frequently on the UK forum. I believe it was a product of the company Steve Jobs founded (NeXt, subsequently Next, Inc.) after he left Apple in the 1980s. I remember doing a search about it and can't remember where I came across it, but if I recall correctly it was incredibly weak with an ELO of 1200 or so. My guess is that it is a clone rather than an original product, but a clone of what I don't know.

Silly me. Of course, I know where it came from. I have the darn thing- the original, that is. It is the Excalibur Chess Express model 119E. It is given a USCF of 1550 which probably translates to an actual ELO of much less:
