Kittinger did not enter commercially available chess computers at the 1983 US Open
he entered several experimental engines/computers
the computer that defeated Simon ran on a 3 Mhz 6502 processor with 16k and the program was later released in the Super Conny

Super C Regards

So this is the program that is under the Super constellation?

http://www.schach-computer.info/wiki/in ... stellation

so probably super constellation that runs at 4 Mhz it is a bit stronger that this constellation X experimental engines/computer.

1983 dedicated chess computer history regards

Yes
1983 was indeed a historical year
5 weeks before the US Open .for the very first time ever..a 2100 USCF rated player lost to a dedicated computer in a rated tournament game
also to Kittinger's engine
that computer was running on a 2 Mhz 6502 24k

30 Years Ago Regards
Steve
