A V9, looks like it's an upgrade, circa Euro 4K

The other machine in the link, the Vancouver 68030 with
two fans, is that a Tournament Machine? Anyone know?
I've never seen either a tournament machine or a TASC
Never seen a Mephisto Brick (bricquette?)
Never seen a Diablo
Down here in the early days we were more or less relying on
the whims of one particular guy to import chess comps. If he
did'nt see a profit to be made then we generally did'nt even
know of the existence of some models.

Thanks Larry
i See Karsten has decided not to sell after all and only to sell off some computers that apparently he has two of
nothing of interest to me there
actually i am glad to hear he is not leaving the hobby
never a good sign for any hobby if the top players start walking away

Relieved Regards

Finally with some free time on my hands.. i was able to carefully review Karsten's entire collection and came up with these items that i was interested in
i was surprised to see i was only interested in 14 items out of literally 1000+ items on his collection list

Computers

1)Scisys President...
this is not the Saitek President
this is supposed to have an auto-sensory playing board much like the Sensor board attachment to the Scisys Mark V
i am not entirely convinced this was ever actually released for sale
2-3)Novag Dynamic and Dynamic S..
neither of these are terribly hard to find
not sure why i never bought these when released for sale
i guess i was on holiday or something at the time
4)Fidelity V10...
Along with the V8 these are the only two EAG's i am missing
5)CXG Sphinx 40+
I have the Sphinx 40 and 50 but not the "+" which is the Dominator Engine
6)Tryom CC700 White
i have the far more common Brown/Dark version

thats it for the computers

Modules
7-8)Scisys Classical Module and Hypermodern module
these are for the Scisys Sensor Chess and are quite rare
they are not to be confused with the Super Hyper and Super Classical modules which are far easier to find
9)Fidelity Opening book I Module for the Prestige Challenger
here again i am not 100% convinced this was ever actually sold
commonly seen is the Opening book II module for the Prestige
10-14)Saitek OSA modules for the Leonardo,Galileo or Renaissance boards:
Maestro A6
Maestro B4
Analyst B5
Analyst B6
Analyst C8
I have 9 OSA modules so this would have really filled out the OSA modules collection for me

In addition to the above there are 5 more computers that still elude me(which do not appear on his list)
of these there is only one with a known owner

Yes
both have the Dominator engine
I guess each computer can have different Dominator versions..2.2 2.4 etc etc

the "+ "information comes from a CXG catalogue I have
I do not have the Sphinx 40/50+ computers

having an old catalogue is always a + regards

Hi Jose
not sure I understand your question?
the Sphinx 40 + is in the same housing as the Sphinx 40
A large wooden board but with the Dominator engine
the S40 housing is not the same as 3018 housing
the difference is the housing

High-Income Housing Regards

Hi Steve,

yes my bad English...

Ok, let me ask on an other way.

You have also one Sphinx with two displays left, right (not up, down)

You say this is a Commander in Sphinx40 housing. Why you know it is a Commander and not a Sphinx40+?
A Sphinx40+ is also in a Sphinx40 housing.

Confused Regards

ok
yes this would be the same
If you replace normal S40/S50 module with 3018 module then you have
S40+/S50+
S40+ was sold as model number 3038
S50+ was sold as model number 3048

S40/S50 are different then S40+/S50+

here is a photo of S50+

Thanks José
it is the model number
my modules are model number 3018 and have version 2.0 of dominator program
NOT model 3038 3048
perhaps S40/S50+ were sold with higher then 2.0 of dominator program??
this I cannot say as I do not have + computers
I am sorry Jose but I do not know how to explain it further

Exhausted Regards
Steve
