Hi Steve, I'm afraid you are after a big league machine now, and
will be waiting a while. It's frustrating, I know.
Hope one comes along for you...

Well, yeah I do. It was about 8 years back. I bought it from
a guy who I just happened to be dropping in on, and it was
in my early days as a collector. I remember being confronted with
it, all minty and complete. London updated version.
I did'nt know my chess computer models or values like I do now.
He clearly did'nt either....
$250 regards,
Larry

Larry, I feel the hate swelling in me now...

WOW Larry only $250 bucks. You're Lucky! Sheeez

Here is my beef...

I have nothing that can beat any of my three Novag Diamonds.
The "hash table less" Mephisto Master Chess will get lucky and draw once
in awhile.

Excalibur Igor recently beat up Mephisto Berlin 68000 in my tournament.
So it doesn't look good for MB 68000 when he meets up with the Diamond Brothers.

All my computers are only played at 3 min. avg. response.
This time control is universal in USCF and FIDE rated tournaments.
Yes I know it can take a long time sometimes just to complete one game.
I have discovered something about these computers from playing over 250
games already in my tournament at these 3 min. time controls.
We can discuss this at a later date however.

At this 3 min. time control level,
I believe Novag Diamond II is the strongest 8 bit chess computer ever made!

It easily plays at Senior Master levels.
When my tournament is over we will know more.

Right now I'm just setting the table for when my next tournament begins.

99.9% of those people over in Europe don't want to send their computers over seas. (this is frustrating)
And many of their computers have been "tinkered with" already anyway.

Maybe one of these days I will get lucky. :D

I want a shot at Richard Lang Regards,
