Fidelity 12 'B'

I thought it worth a mention. This one is rarer than the normal
Fidelity '12', running at a slightly higher frequency. Also, the seller
will ship only to the US, which serves to keep the price down.
Being sold 'as is', can also be a plus, also keeping the price down.
There is only a slim chance it does not work. Note the protective coating
is still on the playing surface. Sadly, no box.
If it does not work, it will make a great door stop.

Yeah but this machine has several obvious issues:

- big dent in the board near "E / your move"
- some "waves" in the board plastic surface on top of row 8
- some dent (not mentioned by the seller) near the port/connector (see back photo)

The seller is also kinda not honest as "how the hell he can know" that it is working without having the power adapter???

Plus, the seller is by default not accepting any return so if any issue you would have to rely on eBay for return protection.

I would recommend to stay away from it.

To "B" or not to "B" regards ?

Fwiw: In my experience, the stated refusal to accept any returns often does not end up being the case if the seller did not accurately inform of defects. For instance, if you check the feedback on this seller, he offered a full refund for an allegedly defective knife on April 26, 2013 even though that sale original stated 'no returns'.

The fact is that nowadays on eBay sellers getting bad feedback for items not honestly described can eventually have negative ramifications affecting the relationship with eBay. I 'won' the Mephisto Exclusive for $800 as part of that collection that Steve B started a thread on and it turned out to be unplayable as well as having a sizeable chip out of the wood finish, both of which were not mentioned by the seller. In spite of the 'no returns' policy, I got my $800 back (though I lost about $50 in shipping fees).
