The King 3.33 Alekhine Personality vs Queegmeister

Post by Queegmeister »

Hi Guys - proud of this one so its here in the main - (as promised)

Contenders

The POWERFUL King 3.33 vs former USCF Master Mike

Played on the xbox at g/40 - fast is good for the King especially at 700mhz !!

On with the show

White : King 3.33 Alekhine Black : Mike

1. e4 (what else) c5 (bring it !)
2. Nf3 Nc6
3. d4 cd
3. Nxd4 e5 trying for lines .. Nb5 etc..
4. Nxc6 !? dxc6 (want to swap Q's ?)
5. Qxd8 + (I like it) Kxd8
6. Nc3 Bd6
7. Be2 Be6
8. 0-0 Ne7
9. f4 ef ( I think this is forced )
10.Bxf4 Bxf4
11.Rad1+ (zweichenzug) Kc7
12.Rxf4 Ng6 (heading for e5)
13.Rff1 Rhd8
14.Rxd8 Rxd8
15.b3 Ne5 (nice outpost)
16.Rd1 Rxd1+ (give me endgame !!)
17.Nxd1

[fen]8/ppk2ppp/2p1b3/4n3/4P3/1P6/P1P1B1PP/3N2K1 w - - 0 18[/fen]

perhaps you could see the whole purpose of the early dxc6 allowing the queen trade - my king is awesome in the endgame. and so....

17...................................Kd6
18.Nb2 b5
19.Nd3 (the idea behind b3 is clear enough now)
19...................................Nxd3
20.Bxd3 Kc5 -+
21.c3 b4 ! q-side pawns all blocked on WHITE squares.
22.c4 (the king 3.33 is finished to good endgame technique)
22...................................Kd4
23.Bc2 Kc3
24.Bd1 f5 (patience,patience)
25.Bf3 c5
26.Kf2 Kd4
27.e5 Kxe5
28.g3 Kd4 (let's go and finish the job)
29.Bd1 Kc6
30.Ke3 g5 (again patience)
31.h4 h6
32.hg hg
33.Bf3 Kb7(finally)
34.Bd5 Bd7
35.Bf3 Kxa7 (it's all over but the cryin')
36.Bd1 Kb7
37.Kd2 a5
38.Bc2 Bc6 (threatening Be4)
39.Bxf4 Kxb3
40.Kc1 Kxc4 and checkmate down the road

0-1 Mikey Wins against the King (Alekhine)
(note : the time control was set by the tournament in Chessmaster)

More to come....please insert any diagrams you think are useful - BYE !

Hi,
There appears to be an error in the score. After 15 b3 ne5 16. Rd8 is impossible as there is no white rook on d1.

Nice game.

Yes - the diagram is nice !! And thanks for the fixing of the errors and compliment ! This thing is TOUGH against any personality. I have never beaten the Fischer personality - has anyone else that cares to post ?

The game was played 5/13 in a chessmaster tournament with ALL grandmaster personalities - I had 1 more win and 3 draws which I shall endeavor not to err on the score sheet again !!! I finished second with 3.5 out of 5 just behind the leader at 4.0

There were no take backs or "doctoring" of score , my other win will be listed next. Then the three draws.

Honestly , sometimes it's harder to draw a computer than to beat it - if that makes sense to you. It's because when you win , you end the game and it does not go on and on with the computer playing delaying tactics and jockeying until you get out of position (or fall asleep). this tactic is especially true of software chess programs where they just plain tire you out - also extremely annoying to me that the computer does this when a human would just agree to a draw..

It is also my belief that tablebases are completely unfair - the computer CAN'T make an error with 5 or less pieces in the endgame - bogusness (my word) - The opening book is a bit different in that it can lead to unclear or even faulty positions that a human has a chance to win.

Queeg Vs King 3.33 "Reshevsky"

Post by Queegmeister »

Another win vs the King 3.33

I must admit , the computer pitched it right into my "wheelhouse" , a closed game , where I can attack the king. But the "Reshevsky" favors this style. (which he will regret  )

5/13

Game/40

Chessmaster tourny All GM personalities

White : Mike Black : The King 3.33 Reshevsky

Veresov opening (by transpostion from Trompowsky ) - my specialty.

1. d4 Nf6
2. Bg5 d5
3. Nc3 Nbd7
4. f3 c5 (main line)
5. e4 e6 - not a strong reply
6. e5 - creating a pseudo-French defense formation for black.
6............................ h6
7. Be3 Ng8 - a clear loss of time.
8. f4 Ne7
9. Bd3 - to tempt.. c4 - I am happy
10. Be2 Nf5
11. Qd2 b5
12. Nf3 b4
13. Nd1 - (Yes I lose time now but in order to close the position)
13.......................... Qa5
14. c3! (praying for black to play b3 ? at some point)
.............................. Bb7
15. g4 (and so it begins) Nxe3
16. Qxe3 Be7
17. h4 b3 ? Bad, just bad.
18. a3 ( the sneaky Bxa3,bxa3,b2 lurks in the twilight zone)
18................................ O-O ? why not 0-0-0 away from my attack ?
19. h5 - after 'em boys ! (push any other pawn and I think he defends )
19................................. Rab8
20. g5 Kh7 an animal cornered
21. Nf2 Qa6
22. Ng4 Qc6 (put this position on your computer - it is not as easy as it looks - precision required )
23. gh gh
24. 0-0-0 Qa6
25 Kd2 ! now if Bxa2 , I play Ra1 !
.....................................Rg8 ! an excellent defensive try
26. Rdg1 Rbf8

DIAGRAM PLEASE - the quietus is ? ..........

27. Nxh3 - congrats if you found it ! - the Knight is immune !!
.....................................Rxg1 (if Kxh3 then follows 28. f5 dis+..Bg5 29. Rxg5..Kh7 30.Rg6 ! winning )

28. Rxg1 f5
29. Qf2 ! idea Qg3..........Rg8

The remaining moves are for your amusement - why doesn't someone teach these things how to resign ??

30. Nxg8 Qxa3 (nothing to do now )
31. bxa3 Nc5
32. dxc5 Bg5 (never laugh at the devil LOL )
33. Rxg5 Kh8
34. Rg1 d4
35. Qg3 dxc3+
36. Kxc3 Bxf3
37. Qg2 ++

Mikey wins another from the Monster King 3.33 1-0

Hope you enjoyed this crush. There were many ways to go wrong in the attack which you may discover if you look. BYE !!

Hi QM

since you are using Cmaster you can easily post your own FEN diagrams here

when you get to a point in a game you want diagrammed..
SAVE the game as a Forsythe Position
then post that saved position here

then highlight the position and then click on FEN at the top of your posting
window

there are instructions here for posting Fen Diagrams:

This was a message from the Amalgamated Fen Diagram Workers Union local 332 Regards

Hi

it's past the time I can edit this last one ( but I could re-post)

I failed to mention I am using XBOX so I would have to convert it on a PC , wouldn't I ? It seems like there must be a way - cuz somebody is putting diagrams in and I appreciate that. I will endeavor to put my own diagrams in somehow.

Thanks
mike
