Excalibur King Arthur deluxe 915W

I have a King Arthur deluxe chess computer model 915W. The LCD screen has stopped showing the black pawns on the 7th rank. When a black pawn move is made, eg. e7-e5 the pawn will appear on the e5 square but is not visable on the e7 square.

Is this a problem with the LCD screen? If so can the LCD be repaired or replaced?
