Back to the drawing board. Is this the OEM Designer 2265 or modified in the UK?

??
Designer 2265 is the Mach III in the new plastic design, also the LCD instead of the LED.

the game was horrible for Chess Genius.
then MachIII lost orientation and i thought: genius can make at least a draw... mach III is so stupid exchanging all pieces... but in the end mach III came back and killed Genius.

I know I have one, just checking in case you had it modified to be something faster than the Mach III in the UK. I am asking because the result places Chess Genius back down the field. Sounds to me it is a typical dedicated computer where you will get some really good games and really bad games. Perfect for the dedicated computer collection. From what you described end games are not its greatest asset?

From your first game opinion what is your impression, where do you see Chess Genius?

The game was too short for you to know if the 20/20 was a typo or real.

Best Regards

IMO The opening position was also not so nice for black.

To me that was a very weak game of chess genius. It misevaluated the position and although coming into the 8 search it had no clue about the disaster. Let's hope it was only one game and it also has other games.

If this kind of games continue the elo 2000 or > 2000 cannot be relied/trusted on.

Then it is a marketing gag. But let's see.

We have to understand that the engine running on mobile phones and tablets gets a hardware running with 1000-2300 MHz while in the hardware used here it is only 48 MHz.
This is a huge factor and makes a difference.

Hi Thorsten,

I just replayed the game. I think you must have got frustrated with the game because it looks to me as if you finished the game a little too early. It would have been nice to see Mach III actually break through.

I am saying that because:

[fen]5r2/1ppn4/p2P1nk1/4p3/2P1N1q1/6N1/PP3Q2/K4R2 w - - 0 34[/fen]

With Designer 2265 to play. If it gets greedy and takes the pawn with 34. dxc7 all the advantage is gone.

Best regards

After exchange white has a rook more. I doubt millennium can come out of this.

Hi Thorsten,

I don't know it is the very next move that Mach III plays that is critical. If it plays 34. dxc7 instead of 34. Rg1 which is a good possibility that it might then:

1. = (0.00): 34...Nxe4 35.Qxf8 Nxf8 36.Nxe4 Qd7 37.Rg1+ Kh6 38.Rh1+ Kg6 39.Rg1+

It would likely be a drawn game assuming no more mistakes happen.

Regards
Nick

Mach III plays Rg1 and is not changing this best move in search 5/6.
Score is ~ +3.5

Just one adjudicated game and you've made your minds up about it already.

Next Game against mm5.

It seems the manual is WRONG. Millennium genius is not playing 20/20 in the second time control but 20 in 60.
So typo in manual.
