Ricardo was on vacation, he is back, I saw him yesterday. So no need to worry. Hopefully he will send a confirmation here soon.

TC is game/30
when setting up a match on Lichess what should we set the TC to?
don't want the server to call a game on account of time
I am thinking 2 Hrs?

Fine Tuning Regards

Hi Steve,

Yes 2 hours or 99 hours. It doesn't really matter as we won't be able to use the Lichess clock anyway since we have to rely on the computer clocks for their countdown. My suggestion is that since there are only 2 hours between games, that everyone tries to stay focused on their computer and make the moves as promptly as possible into lichess so that games finish in about 9o minutes or less and allow me the time to prepare the next round schedule and post it.

Fair play applies where we expect if a computer's clock runs out of time that the player announces it. A computer opponents clock may likely run out of time first before the computer's own clock runs out of time as the human has to enter moves into both lichess and computer. If a computer's opponents clock runs out of time and the computer announces it, we ignore it and keep playing. It is our own computers time that has to hit zero for it to lose.

Hope I am making sense.

ps. I would suggest we also ask our opponent as we get on with time to post their time left on their computer as a curtesy to help you get a feel of where we are at. ie... 5 mins left. etc

Best regards
Nick

perfectly clear

my experience is that its very rare for a dedicated to actually lose on time
it just starts making moves immediately no matter how goofy

anyway....
if our computer loses on time we announce it and resign
if our computer indicates opponents computer is out of time we ignore it

Got It Regards
Steve

2 hours between games is very close, in 2 hours machine should reach 60 moves. In 60 moves games should be finished but in chess that is not allways true.

To late for making changes regards

24 Hours to go!

Remember to set you alarm clocks and also to set your computers to 30 minutes per game.

Counting down...regards

Hello Nick,

I checked my Novag Star Sapphire - it is no more working...
First the square d5 did no more function. Then I tried to repair it and in addition e5 did no more work. Then the e-line. Afterwards d5 was okay again and finally nothing works...

So I need to substitute it. I chose the Novag Diamond II - and checked it. It´s working fine. Sorry for that, but I can´t change it :(

Thanks,
Steffen

Hi Nick,

just to clarify:

Time control is 30min/game?

If my computer loses on time I announce it and resign?

Lichess settings: Variant: "Standard" - Time Control: "Unlimited" - Mode: "Casual" (Unrated)?

Right?

Could you post a complete table with al lichess names?

Lichess name of Ricardo: Ricard3 (not to find at lichess.org) or ricard60 (lichess name during last tournament) ?

Not yelling Regards, Michael :P
