I have a Dallas 16bit if you still have a space available.
sure - you are welcome!

Maybe Dallas is too weak?
Dallas 16bit ELO is 2004 according to the schachcomputer.info Wiki, 186 ELO points below the strongest - let's see how it performs during the tournament. As long as you want to participate (and you do!) it's ok for me!

What is the tournament schedule like? Begin on 12/01 and then?
No fixed schedule - like the High Performer Tournament - you make your appointments according to your personal calendar and I think within two (to three) months we are through with 42 games - Christmas holiday is coming...
Remember: It's a double round robin tournament!
Update:
Helge: Portorose 16bit
Nick: Almeria16bit
Walter: Lyon 16bit
Steffen: Berlin 16bit
Michael: Vancouver 16bit
Al: London 16bit
Dave: Dallas 16bit
Unfortunately my schedule will not allow me sufficient time to play in this tournament; so I must withdraw the Dallas.
I look forward to playing in the next tournament.

Thank you,

I think you probably saved yourself a lot of pain Dave
with about a 150 Pt. Avg .difference in rating between the Dallas and all of the other Lang engines there was a good chance you would not have taken even one game(perhaps one win Vs Portorose)
remember everyone is playing with the same Lang engine.. improved over a period of 10 years..with expanded and improved books...its not like you were playing with a different programmer's engine where there could a chance to take a game or 2 given the large gap in ratings
