HCE Pro - Single Core?

Post by chesslover001 »

I see HCE Pro is single core only. Is this just the HIARCS engine? If I use Stockfish engine is it also limited to single core?

I suspect that Stockfish would still be able to use multiple cores with HCE Pro single core, and that the single core version just includes the single core version of the HIARCS engine, at a lower price. But we'll see what more knowledgeable people have to say.

I have no issues to run SF16 with multiple cores on my Macbook with HCE pro single core.

I'd say HCe is not single or multiple core, but the engines are single or multi core.

No, Stockfish can run multicore in all HCE/HCE Pro versions.
