Tactics exercises PGN: how to save last solved?

I have several PGNs with tactics exercises from books (self-compiled) and I like to use the "Guess the move feature" to work on them.

Is there any way to mark exercises as solved or at least to save the last exercise I have solved? I find it too much of a hassle to manually set and edit a tag, there should be an easier way. Any ideas?

For now it is probably the easiest just to solve exercises sequentially. As HCE remembers last game, you start from the place where you finished last time.
