Hiarcs for android?

Can't wait for the Android edition.

I recently made the switch to Android from IOS and was surprised not to find Hiarcs in the Play Store.

I hope it does not use Google for the license check, as I have De-Googled my phone. So I hope there is another way to handle this. A one time check would be fine with me, or even a every blue moon or so check.

Why ask for a new deadline?
Hiarcs for Android has been promised since at least 2010, see the first post in this thread.

The site now says:
"Are the team at HIARCS making an Android Version?

Yes! HIARCS for Android is currently under development, despite some delays we expect it to be available in Q2 2023."

We can rely on that, can't we?

If it keeps getting delayed, I'll lose hope of ever having Hiarcs on Android.

A few more hot questions for the A(ndroid)-Team :
- why does it have to be postponed so often?
- are the beta tests going well?
- can we count on multiple types of openingbooks and playing styles?
- can elo scores be saved for multiple players?
- will there be a guest mode?
- will play in splitscreen be possible, for playing comp-comp games at the same screen?
Of course I don't want to look impatient, but after so many years of promises...

The Android version is behind schedule due to other commitments over running and we only have a small team. However a huge amount of work has already gone into the app and it is close to alpha quality, working well in most regards with features currently roughly on a par with the HIARCS iOS apps.

Hiarcs android app with the Hiarcs online opening book would be the best chess app ever!
The Hiarcs ecosystem with Explorer Pro Linux (AppImage, Flatpak) - Android app - Online opening book would be a blast and I’d be ready to pay double price for it.
Hiarcs is the best, and I have tried all paid and free software!
