Good morning,
When I click File then New, I am not given the new database dialog box. Nothing happens and I cannot create the new database. I am using Mac OSX 10.9.2
What should I do?

The enhancement in v1.7 is to allow a new database tab to be created without asking for the database filename. The new database filename is required when:
1) You save a game
2) Exit the tab (with something added)
3) Exit the program (assuming the new tab has some data)
The reason we changed this is to make it easier for people who just want to create a new tab to enter a position or paste a game. Often that position or game might not be saved so this enhancement makes that a quicker operation. We also felt it is often easier for a customer to name the database once its contents is known.
