SCCT's new 3 type of tournaments !

Post by Sedat Canbaz »

Hello there !

There will be 3 type of tournaments under Fritz GUI,where all engines will be played:
1.Without opening books,no tablebases - currently running...
2.With same neutlar(Perfect 12.33) book+tablebases
3.With own books+tablebases

And still i am not sure which own books to be used for Zappa,TheKing,Loop,Deep Shredder, any suggestions will be helful ?!

There has been discussion on the past about that, but I haven't seen any consensus.

My suggestion is to run specific tourneys for them to know what book is best for these engines. You could even do the same to the other engines so "own book" doesn't only mean the book made specially for the engine (like Rybka 3 + Rybka 3.ctg), but "own book" should mean "the book that makes the engine the strongest."

Also, avoid playchess books full of sicilians.
