NO openingbook included with Hiarcs 12 MP UCI

Post by John van Spijker »

Hello,

Did upgrade to Hiarcs 12 MP UCI.
Installation and registration were all oké, but after installation there is NO Hiarcs 12 opening book present in the install directory.

Did send the mail also to Hiarcs support.

Have you all the same problems ?

Kind regards,

John.

Hi John,

If you read the readme it will explain that it cant be in the engine folder as this causes problems with the learning in Vista as you cant write back to it easily. Look in docs and settings/application data/Hiarcs 12. The learning file for the engine will also be there.

Best Wishes,
Harvey

Copy necessary ?

Hello Harvey,

Oh boy, as an IT-boy I should read the manual (RFM :-)

I'm using win XP , should I copy the learning file and opening book to the install directory, or leave it the mentioned directories ?

"The Kanon" regards,

John.
