Here's what I have for 23. Nxe5
23. Nxe5 Nxe5 24. Bc3 Rc8 25. Nb3 Ng4 26. Kg2 Bxh4 27. Na5

After these moves, Crafty was showing
depth=21 +0.00 27. ... Ba6 28. b5 Bxg3 29. fxg3 Bxb5 30. Qd2 Qa6 31. Nb3 e5 32. Bb2 Rxc1 33. Nxc1 Bf1+ 34. Kg1 Qf6 35. Bd3 Bh3 36. Qe2 h4 37. gxh4 Qxh4

It is a little different from the line that Dylan posted, but Crafty still agrees that there isn't much here for either side.

I only just started checking 23. Be1, but I expect I'll vote for it later today.

Hi All

My vote is for 23.Nxe5

I expect 23...Nex5 24.Nb3 f5 and now from us either 25.Bc3 or Bf4

I know we believe we 'have' a draw, and that they are just being a bit awkward perhaps, but I think we need to remain careful and alert... there are ways to get ourselves into difficulties, so we need to keep finding the best possible moves

Cheers - Eric

Hi again... I'm replying to my own e-mail!!

After 23.Nxe5 Nxe5 24.Nb3 f5 I've just spotted 25.Rd1 which looks better than my previous proposal. There's some interesting exchanges if 25...fxe4 26.Bf4 Qxb4 27.Bxe5 Qxb3

Anyway I still vote for 23.Nxe5

Cheers - Eric

Hi Eric,

That's the line Deep Shredder found in the deep ponder I left it in

22...h5 23.Nxe5 Nxe5 24.Nb3 f5 25.Rd1 fxe4 26.Bf4 Qxb4 27.Bxe5 Qxb3 28.Bc2 Qb4 29.Rxd7 Bd5 30.Qd1 Qc5 31.Bd4 Qb4 32.Be5 Qc5 33.Bd4 Qb4 34.Be5 (205.495.515.897) 1495 SB:31.590.235

Score was 0.00. I walked through the line up to 24. Nb3 and left DS 11 running in 2 pv mode while I'm at work. Hope to post the results later.

We could do with some workspace somewhere to post all our lines so it's easy to see what people have posted? Anyone got any ideas on how this might be achieved?

36.Rb8+ Rf8 37.Rxf8+ Kxf8 (34.458.079.485) 1440

Can any one see an improvment for the 24...Ba6 line for white?

If not I may turbo.......

Hey Watchman, what do you have against 23.Nxe5 ? Without a line that refutes perhaps it's going to win.

And I won't be able to post the move in time so I'm going to play it in about 12 hours.

I have 23.Nxe5 Nxe5 24.Nb3 f5 25.Bc3 fxe4 26.Nc5 Nf3+ 27.Kh1 Bd5 28.Bxe4 Qc6

or 25...Bxe4 26.Bxe4 fxe4 27.Nc5 Ng4

Both seem to draw as well as Eric's 25.Rd1 (looks good so far to me)

23.Be1 is just what I spent the most time on.
