Thanks for the info
i have another Soviet computer which i was able to determine is an exact clone of the Fidelty Excellence-3Mhz
someone contacted me via Email about 5-6 years ago and offered to sell it to me..he called it the Master
the seller had just immigrated from Russia
at least thats what he told me
i really liked the pieces and the price was reasonable so i bought it:

Hmm... never saw this device before... and the name is written with latin letters, not kyrillic... strange...
Also I remember there was a bulgarian chess computer called "Partner" - green & white colored squares, size around 25x40cm, plastic pressure-sensitive board with 16 red leds and small wooden pieces, without display; but looked not like Elektronika games...

Hi All
Been trying to learn more about the Soviet chess computers for years and the best source I have found is Sergei's website.
These are the Soviet chess computers I have so far.
Elektronika IM-01 - http://www.chesscomputeruk.com/html/ele ... _-_01.html
Elektronika IM-01T - http://www.chesscomputeruk.com/html/ele ... _01_t.html
Intellect -02 - http://www.chesscomputeruk.com/html/intellect_-02.html
The Elektronika IM-01 has six mainly v.slow levels. The IM-01T has seven quicker levels. They both have displays. It's difficult to see any similarity with the Sensory9 or Excellence. I have only played a few games against them myself so cannot really comment on comparisons with other comps.
The Bulgarian 'Partner' which was sold on Ebay in 2009 looked to have a replica Excellence sensory board, similar to Steve's 'Master'.
IvenGO
Thanks for the links to the Partner-2 and Debut-M. They are the first pictures of them I have seen.
Keen to learn more and would add an Eastern bloc section to the website if I could get my hands on more of the chess computers.
All the best
Mike

What I had read is that CC9 was given to "Svetlana" electronic company for repair and this "repair" took a whole month - the result was starting of IM-01 production. Later, this man gave them Excel for investigation of its internal content, and after it IM-05 project was released.
BTW, IM-05 and Debut-M are currently for sale in moscow chess shop.
Also its interesting to know what is this:
