No Joke Larry
watching these outlandish prices recently...
$1600 for a EAG 2100
$500 for a Mach II
the Bavaria that went for close to $3000
the Monte CarloIV LE that went for close to $1000
Etc Etc
I am seriously starting to consider selling now before this all dies down
and along with it..my dreams of an early retirement on my own Greek Island

There is a Genius 68030 available here:

http://www.ebay.de/itm/MEPHISTO-Schach- ... 832wt_1125

Looking at the photos you can see that none of them are showing it working. Also you can see that it is quite dusty (what a shame...) and that the power adapter is said to be a 5001/5002.

Quite strange indeed as the normal power adapter for this module is a 5030.

What do you think Steve ?

Am I a real Genius Regards ?,

Fabrice
Its Sells for $2100!
not even a Munchen board
well at least he cleaned up the sticky foam particles

Yeah, Steve quite some money indeed!

I contacted the seller and that is why we got more photos ;-)

As far as I could understand, the original adapter was not included and the Genius modules were powered by a "Sandy" branded adapter outputing 9V / 1.2A instead of the recommended 7.5V / 1A.

This "over voltage" made me decide to pass on those modules. The other reason was the seller was not clear if the power adapter would only plug into the modules or could be plugged to the Exclusive board.

Let's Try to "Fry" The Genius Inside Regards

Was this a reasonable price to pay for a Saitek Maestro B Module?

Well the Saitek OSA modules are not all that easy to come by
especially without a board
perhaps for an Analyst B6 the price is fair..but i think for a Maestro B6 without its box and instruction manual this is a bit on the high side
Jose's site shows sales for previous OSA modules but its not clear if there was a board sold along with the module:
http://www.elpeon.com/index.php?mod=saitek

doesn't look like Jose is maintaining the site any long as i see very few recent sales(2012)

Defunct Regards

They are probably husband/wife teams working together at fairly
high speed throwing garage stuff on ebay, him taking the photos
and her at the keyboard. It's in their own interest to pay attention
to detail though...they are paying ebay whether it sells or not.
