Hiarcs 14 CRASH

every time i try to install deep Hiarcs 14 in deep fritz 12 gui it crashes and closes the programme tryed on 3 machines all the same help?

I do not have the DF12 GUI to ry it in. I have it installed in lots of other Fritz GUI's and CB.

Is anybody else having this problem?

I guess you have installed the package and are doing install UCI engine?

If you have not already activated the engine you could try doing this before trying to use it in fritz.

Yes i activated b4 install but on creating engine it just hangs shows Hiarcs name but not marks in auth and just hangs,

Try uninstalling and then download the installer again and reinstall. Have you tried it in a different gui or running in the command window?

It runs for me with no problems in Shredder.

I suggest you uninstall and reinstall it.

tryed that still no go,would you be able to ask Mark to send seperate download link to my email address.

You should email him it is the easiest way. have you tried rebooting your machine?

are you copying and pasting both the name and the licence code?

You probably need to email mark.

I'm not sure how i got it to work i ran exe as admin and then recreated i do not know how but i got it working.

I am very interested for the solution, as I have the same problems on one pc - while on the other ones with same windows all is ok:

Shredder GUI: this is not an uci engine
Fritz 11/12/13: do not show author and enginename an then crashes

Arena 2.01: Deep Hiarcs is running
Fritz 9 GUI: Deep Hiarcs 14 is running too

Engine needs very long here for the init (I can see it in comand line window)

edit: I used Windows explorer and right klick on Deep Hiarcs.exe and choosed start it as Administrator.
Now the init is much faster - it was possible to install the engine now inside Fritz GUI and too inside Shredder gui (I had already made an .eng file with an editor)

The events you recorded seemed very much what you would get if you tried to create the HIARCS engine in the Fritz GUI or Shredder GUI by pointing to the installer instead of the UCI engines that are in Program Files\\HIARCS Chess\

Has to be installed first.
