This has got to be a misunderstanding...

over $270 for a Mephisto Genius 030 module name plate
not the module...the name plate
with two days left to bid no less

http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.a ... p%3D10&f=1

Im guessing the bidders think its the module

Doh Regards

Re: Exclusive Board

Post by BlackSails911 »

Hi,

I have some Phoenix modules. They are designed to work with 5V.

The thing with the older Modular (metallic surface) and the older Exclusives (battery compartement) is that these boards often put "something in excess of 5V" on the modules. Can very well be 6V and more. With early 8 bit module sets like the IV you have, that worked fine. When Mephisto began to put 32 bit modules on the market, they came up with adapter modules (with exactly 5V output) or better regulated boards...

So my advice would be to really mesure what your board puts on the modules. The phoenix modules would run with something like 6V (given they get enough mA), but the higher voltage would cause the expensive display to give way rather early...

Thank you for the information. I will try to find out the voltage on the board. I see there is a huge lot of other chess computers just put up on ebay from one seller, including some mephisto modules. I don't see any Phoenix modules, which is not surprising.

It's funny how he has the A/G selling for only two hundred more. It's worth 3 times as much so maybe he should list it for $5400.00!

I don't see any rating plaque on his EAG
that means it is probably a Mobile Master
which would make two Mobile Masters on Ebay in as many weeks

The seller has changed both the Citrine auction($1800) and the EAG Auction($2000) to now include allowing bidders to make an offer
to date the seller has rejected all offers

I hate to be picky ..but really
if you scroll down in this auction you will see the seller posted close to 50(!) photos of this Milano Pro
how much longer would it have taken to post the main ..lead.. photo.. right side up?

This Novag Printer cable is actually a hard to find item

Oddly Novag did not include the cable with the printer
it was bundled with certain Novag computers such as the Constellation Expert and Super Experts
