Finally,Septennial Got me

Post by Fernando »

The old history: after some victories you get relaxed, concentrate lot less and then....
BUT I am happy. A new victory of mine over Sept. would have been disappointing. After all I payed 5000 buck to Steven for his services. With his win Sept. recover his value.
BTW, Spracklen games has been always very good in endings. The bloody machine did not commit not even one mistake to give me the chance to get the draw....

Happy and Defeated regards

It's in the endgame where the Septennial is better than the Champion.
With the Champ you can recover in a losing position. The Sep is
more stubborn. Keep playing games against it, trying different openings,
and let us know how they go. Yes, it's easy to become complacent
after a few wins and assume more victories...then the machine brings
you down to earth. We would'nt have it any other way!

Hi Fern,
Could you publish this game here?
Lately I let some comps play a few games against each other, and got tears in my eyes because of the stupid and crooked moves they made in the endgame... :-(

Need something to reinforce my belief in chesscomputers regards,
Paul.

Sorry, paulwise, but I do NOT write my moves, not even if I win....:-)

That is too bad, I was hoping that one day we could enjoy the book "Fern's Collected Games against chesscomputers" ...
But, it is never to late to make a new start! ;-)

Make haste slowly regards,
Paul
