Novag Super Cony in a new jacket

Post by Sargon1972 »

Hello Guys,

Well another project is finished by SteveUk
he have done a new PCB ,a Novag Super Constellation on 16mhz !
and it runs at true 16mhz
some games are played
look here :
http://www.schachcomputer.info/forum/f1 ... -4961.html

well the Super Cony was a sensation back then in 1984 famous of his Attacking on opposite king and sacrifice material for attack, also sacrifice it on "feeling" even when it was not good ,but way to deep for the SuperCony to see. But interesting yes!

If there people out there interested by this pcb feel free to contact me ,and i will guide u to get this PCB
The build in is easy ,open the supercony take out the PCB and u just have to plug in a cable

How it is done the miracle of upgrading the clock speed?
I would do that with every dedicated unit I have...

Hello Fern,

Well if u want to over clock it u will get to 6mhz as maximum of the original PCB
So u MUST read out the eprom of the Cony and that is not easy to do.U need special equipment to do that
But if i go further i can make mistakes how ore what ,ore i already made them.
So maybe SteveUK can better tell this ,if he want that of course
But that is not up to me i am afraid

You have to replace whole motherboard.

Here we have a fairy tale of the day after tomorrow....

You have to replace whole motherboard.
Perhaps an even worse idea then old dedicated engines in new PC's

The problem is that you were very excited about this modification
you said you would "do it with every unit you had"
Words that will forever live....
