I am puzzled by how sellers price relisted items on eBay. They can relist at the same price, lower it or raise it. The latter seems counter intuitive to me, but here are 2 recent examples:

The Disney Magic Castle had no takers at $99. Now it is listed for $125.99.
This Mephisto Vancouver 68000 had no bids at a starting price of $600 with free shipping.

Now it is listed as starting at $650 with $70 shipping to the USA.

Any thoughts on doubling down on failure to sell?
Perhaps it's like beer; buyers shun very cheap beer because it's thought to be of poor quality. [Anyone really think Budweiser is the most costly beer to brew as they claim?]
