Grandmasters vs Hiarcs

Post by herO »

Image that strong human grandmasters (2500 - 2800 ELO) will play serious rated chess against Hiarcs in HCE . They will use "Match player strength", time controls: 10 minutes for both sides. Please note that grandmasters will play the same way like against human opponents, they will not use any "anti computer" strategy during their games. What ELO can grandmasters achieve in HCE? What ELO can Magnus Carlsen achieve in HCE?

10 minutes is blitz, enough to put an human player 200 points below the Elo rating. Using anti-computer strategy or not don't make much of a difference nowadays.

You're right, but don't forget that Hiarcs uses play realism capabilities to simulate real play as a human player. I know that Hiarcs is still a computer, but it plays much more like a human in weaker mode and make common moves that weaker players are prone to. And Hiarcs also play weaker in blitz than in rapid. I played many times against Hiarcs and 2000 ELO opponent play weaker in 5 minutes blitz than in rapid when you have 30 minutes for a game.
