Delivery of the M811 will arrive approximately in week 41.
The package size is 309 x 293 x 96 mm
You could use them also with a power supply
Power supply EURO 7,-- exw. Germany
The power supply to the chess computer ChessGenius is appropriate for EU, UK and USA.
Here the data to the adapter:
Input: 100 - 240 V, 50/60 Hz
Output 5V 0.6A
I hope you are right about the possibility for a power supply.
I got a link for the user manual and it only mentions batteries.
Hopefully this document is only a prerelease... http://s3.chesshouse.com.s3-us-west-2.a ... ish%20.pdf
This manual gives M810 as modelnumber!?
Edit: the Millennium website states an optional powersupply

Yup, M810.
And I should mention, the power adapter is "+" on the center pin (standard). I just mailed a Carnelian II adapter which happens to be the opposite. Bad things can happen if that is not accounted for when purchasing an adapter apart from the manufacturer!

I would like to see some more facts. The out of the box setting is Power Save on, therefore unless you manually correct the computer to play without power save then that's what you are playing. These mistakes happen all the time. So I don't know what mode MP is playing. With PS its strength it around 1900.
Nick,
As I am very self-assertive (I am not...), I now already think of a way to check for this power save possibility. If you have a Milano Pro or Master Chess, you could easily replay some of these games to see if the same moves are being made? Of course the pondering option brings in some uncertainty. But still...
Hoping I am not the first to think of this regards,
Paul.

Paul,
I am sure that someone has already tried it After all enough people have read the post. The computer is out in a couple of weeks we'll find out then.
It doesn't matter to me one way or another. Having a manufacturer finally report something accurately would be nice.
I read the adapter would be 5V center plus.
Having a switchable adapter which among others I can set to 4,5V and 6V, I hope that 4,5V will also do? As the machine runs on three AA batteries one should think so?
On the Millennium site the adapter costs 19,90 .
One could almost think they really wanted to price the Chessgenius at 110,- ...
The Chessgenius is going to be shipped in the 1st half of October, they say. So my guess it´ll be middle of the month. Hundreds of chess computer freaks are sooo hot...

Niggemann states Oct. 20th!
Regards, Michael
Euroschach says Oct. 12th. But Niggemann seems more realistic.
