Mephisto ESB 6000 - delay in opening book

Post by dedicate computers »

Hello,

Recently I got the Mephisto ESB 6000 with the module III. I noticed that the during opening boook the answers of the ESB are not immediate, for example, if I play d4, it takes 3 seconds or 4 seconds to the Mephisto III answer. I wonder if there is any defect in this module or is this normal delay.
Regards
Oswaldo

Well perhaps normal for some?

The ESBIIB I have with a Mephisto III Brickett answers immediately in the opening. As does the ESBIIA with a Mephisto II module.

Confusing regards

Yes. But mephisto III is slower. Also I think Mephisto III recognizes not only move transpositions but also the position itself. And therefore is more effective.
